World Book Day, sponsor reads and Oompa Loompas!
What a great day we had for World Book Day. For the first time in 23 years, we started a day early with a
visit from Chris William Hill on Wednesday afternoon. The children thought he was hilarious, judging by the sound of laughter from the hall filling the school.
Yesterday, we had a variety of book characters enter our building, from Ron Weasley to an Oompa Loompa to a rabbit and even a crayon! The children completed many different activities, including making their character out of vegetables. Many congratulations to everyone for their efforts in helping us to highlight the importance of reading.
We also would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for your support with the 'Sponsored Read'.
As a Federation we raised over £1000, with nearly £200 coming from Castle Acre. We will now be able to choose some books to a total value that is related to our share of the £1000 raised. Amazing everyone!
