London's burning, London's burning,

Fetch the buckets, fetch the buckets,

Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire!

Pour on water, pour on water.

Whitebeam put on a fantastic assembly showcasing what they knew about The Great Fire of London in the form of a play. Everyone had a speaking part and they all knew their lines; well done, all of you. The highlight of the play had to be Samuel Pepys (aka Milo) rowing down the River Thames with very realistic actions! The well known song, London's Burning, was sung as a round, complete with change of words as fire engines had not been invented then. The chief method of fire extinguishing was the use of buckets! The children also showed the amazing 'burning' Tudor houses they had made. Thank you so much to all who came to watch the assembly, we hope you enjoyed it.
